Fruits and Vegetables
Eat fruits and vegetables that are rich in large amount of fiber and roughage. These can be found in fruits such as mangoes, figs, orange, papaya, and guava. As regards vegetables, peas, carrots, sweet potatoes, and green vegetables such as celeries are good sources of fiber.

Add sliced garlic into a soup, honey or juice and take it thrice daily to facilitate bowel movement.

The spacing must be 5 days continuous intake of Aloe Vera juice and afterwards pause for 2 days, then continue medication for another 5 days. For people who have chronic constipation problems, their intake of Aloe Vera juice must be on a daily basis.
One medicinal property of castor oil is its ability to regulate intestinal activities and deliver waste materials. This makes it a good alternative medicine for constipation. Aside from its low price, castor oil is widely available in various market places, groceries and stores. Just mix two to four teaspoonfuls of castor oil to ginger tea and consume it before bedtime.
Drink lots of Water
Drinking the right amount of water gives the body a good chance to fight constipation. If the body does not receive right amount of water, it will compensate for the loss from the water or fluids in the intestinal tracts. When this occurs, the stool would become hard and dry, thus the signs symptoms of constipation will manifest. So, in order to avoid constipation and all its inconveniences, one must drink at least 8 glasses of water in a daily basis. If one is having a hard time drinking water, try adding fruit juices or flavoring to it so that right amount of fluid intake is completed in the diet.
